Tara LaTour: Couture For the Cool Kids

Tara LaTour: Couture For the Cool Kids

Tara LaTour bridal couture always surprises us: it’s the attention to detail, the fit on a woman’s body, the elevated and whimsical touches that just make us swoon. Tara herself trained at Parson’s School of Design, and she brings the perfect blend of vintage romanticism together with modern ideas to create the most sumptuous, unique wedding dresses.

Tara loves to work with color, and her Lindsay gown pictured above is a stunning example. Navy blue wedding dress anyone? Don’t worry if you still are feeling the wedding whites – Tara will make you your very own version of the Lindsey wedding gown in several different color options.

If you really want to wow at your wedding, you can’t go wrong with your very own cloud of tulle: the Pavielle gown on the left above is one of our absolute favs with a tulle train for days and days. Amelie on the right is no slouch in the train department either – this gown snuggles your curves with a little va-va-voom flair, and then flows out behind you with a fantastic tulle train.

For my stunning southern belles looking for graceful, romantic lines, Petra (above left) and Piper (above right) have you covered – and if you want to kick it up a notch, Tara will rock either one of these gowns in some glorious color options.

Priya is another one of our personal favs from Tara LaTour – the prettiest dove grey, tons of fun movement, and a high-low hem. We can see this stunner for a bohemian wedding on the beach, with that gorgeous grey chiffon drifting in the wind.

The gowns in Tara LaTour’s 2017 Vignettes collection are based on memories from Tara’s childhood. The Portia wedding dress above evokes a memory of mist rising off of the lake at Tara’s grandfather’s house. We love this stunning blue gown, but we also have Portia in the store in a beautiful rosewater hue.

Adam is truly a wedding gown for the cool bride: this gorgeous dress is actually two pieces with an architecturally brilliant skirt that fits snug over the hips, and a semi-sheer top that plays just the right amount of peek-a-boo.

You can find your dream Tara LaTour gown at Gilded Bridal, Tara’s exclusive East Coast stockist. We don’t always have all the gowns pictured here in our little Raleigh bridal boutique, but never fear – we have a fantastic Tara LaTour trunk show happening March 7 -11th next week. And the even better news? The lady HERSELF Ms. Tara LaTour will be in our bridal shop for afternoon appointments on March 10th and for Saturday appointments on March 11th. Snag your chance to MEET THE DESIGNER and get your custom Tara LaTour gown by booking online here, or call us at 919-717-2674.
