Angelina & Will: A Gilded Bride Story

Angelina & Will: A Gilded Bride Story

Y’all, this wedding was just plane AMAZING! I will try to limit my use of pilot puns but it’s hard when a couple is as fly as this one 🙂 Angelina and her husband, Will, live in Hawaii but came all the way back to the East Coast to celebrate their wedding with family and friends. She looked so beautiful in her Rebecca Schoneveld gown and all the gorgeous accessories she chose to finish off the look! Congrats to the happy couple – copilots for life!

GILDED: How did you and your spouse meet?
ANGELINA: We met on tinder in Pensacola, FL. I was doing an internship at the University of West Florida and Will was finishing up the first half of flight school. Our first date was at Jackson’s Steakhouse after we sat on a bench in a park by a fountain and talked for 8 hours about everything and nothing! We knew we had something special that day.

GILDED: What did you love most about your wedding celebration? What are some of your favorite details or special moments?
ANGELINA: We loved being around family and friends the most. We’re living in Hawaii, so don’t get to see everyone often. Dancing and celebrating with the people we love was so touching and fun!

We were very intentional with a lot of our details to make it personal to us. We picked out a church that showed the beauty of outside and the beautiful wood of the inside. We wrote our own vows and scripted the wedding picking our favorite pieces from many resources. I’m not very religious so I picked a passage that meant something to me and Will picked something from the Bible. We had a cigar & whisky bar because Will loves to smoke a good cigar and drink a nice whisky. We had some incredible music and even played two Italian songs that had my name in it! Will and his father love oysters, so they had a private moment where they could enjoy some oysters. We had “pilot and copilot” chair signs to represent Will’s profession and our roles in our lives!

Did you have a honeymoon? Where did you go and what was your favorite part?
We went to Disneyland and California Adventure for three days, Six Flags on Halloween! We really enjoyed going to Star Wars Edge where we made lightsabers and a family droid! We spent all day exploring Star Wars and doing “jobs” on the app interacting with the Land! We also went to Goofy’s Kitchen the last night where Dale tried to steal me away from Will and make me his bride!

GILDED: What advice do you have for brides looking for their wedding dress?
ANGELINA: I went to three boutiques trying on dresses I thought I wanted. When I showed up at Gilded I kept an open mind and tried on a dress that I NEVER would have picked out for myself. I fell in love with the dress instantly. I didn’t cry right away, but I knew it was right. An accessory can also make a huge difference on a dress. If it wasn’t for the belt, I don’t know if I would have been comfortable with the dress. As a petite and curvy bride, I trusted my bridal consultant and walked out knowing I had the perfect dress for me AND it has pockets!!!!!
