Pack your bags, y’all! Today, we are showing off Alex and Sean’s destination wedding in Croatia and by then end of it, you’re going to want to book yourself a flight! The only thing more beautiful than these views was Alex in her Gilded gown by Alexandra Grecco. This looks like the most swoon-worthy day ever! We love that all of their favorite people made the trip with them and were able to spend the week exploring Croatia together. Count us in for the next group vacay!!

GILDED: How did you and your spouse meet?
ALEX: We met through a mutual friend – who attended our wedding! The day we met, he actually remembered seeing me at a concert the night before. We reconnected 9 or so months later and started dating.
GILDED: What did you love most about your wedding celebration? What are some of your favorite details or special moments?
ALEX: We picked a destination wedding since we love to travel but also because we wanted to spend a week with the people we love most rather than just a single whirlwind day. We had a fabulous boat day with all the guests where we swam and ate all day around the island, and got to see our guests enjoying their vacation throughout the week.
For the wedding itself, the venue was absolutely perfect. It’s like I dreamed of the old stone, the sea, and the trees, and then I found it with Fort George! The day of the rehearsal was the first day I actually saw it in person and it met all my expectations.
My favorite moments were the vows my husband wrote – they blew me away and the guests couldn’t stop talking about it! And then the moments when we were just dancing even when no one else was on the dance floor, we were in our own world, soaking it in.
GILDED: Did you have a honeymoon? Where did you go and what was your favorite part?
ALEX: We went to Madeira, Portugal and absolutely loved it! We stayed in a gorgeous hotel, got to watch the sun come up above the clouds in the mountains, go sailing, and relax right next to the sea where there were platforms cut out of the cliffs. It was wonderful to just decompress and explore a new country with a distinct trip from our wedding week.
GILDED: What advice do you have for brides looking for their wedding dress?
ALEX: Shop at Gilded! But other than that, don’t let the vision you think you have constrain you from trying different looks. You only get to do this once, so have fun! Listen to your girls but you’ll know when you try it on and you have a huge smile on your face, so follow your gut and don’t overthink it!
