Lidija & Arend: A Gilded Bride Story

Lidija & Arend: A Gilded Bride Story

This couple is too beautiful for words and they had the wedding to match! Lidija and Arend got married this past summer and put so much love into every detail. These jet-setters brought little pieces of all of their fav travel destinations to make their international guests feel right at home in NC! Lidija was breath-taking in her Tara Lauren gown, from the aisle to the afterparty. And those twinkle light pics? TO DIE FOR! So much congratulations to this happy couple – wishing y’all another gorgeous vacation very soon!

GILDED: What did you love most about your wedding celebration? What are some of your favorite details or special moments?

LIDIJA: We loved the fact that so many friends and family members from all over the US and Europe came to support us and celebrate our special day. All the personal details were awesome too, we love to travel so I made the seating chart a world map of some of our favorite travel destinations and instead of table numbers we used the name of the city or country (Tahiti, Barcelona, Amsterdam…). We had a really fun band that kept us and our guests dancing all night. Finally, my dress… it was so gorgeous and fit me like a glove. It exuded my style and matched the venue, time of year, and my personality to a T.

GILDED: Did you have a honeymoon? Where did you go and what was your favorite part?

LIDIJA: Yes, we went to Bali and Java, Indonesia. We did so many cool things from hiking down a very narrow and scary path to a secluded beach, to riding a motor bike through the most beautiful little Island off of Bali, to watching the sunrise over Mt. Bromo and climbing to the edge of the volcanic crater. It was the most amazing, adventurous, yet relaxing trip – exactly how we wanted to spend our honeymoon!

GILDED: What advice do you have for brides looking for their wedding dress?

LIDIJA: Stay true to your style and try on many dresses. I actually ended up choosing the first dress I tried on, but I had to make sure and try on 15 others 🙂 Choose a dress that makes you feel beautiful, comfortable enough to bust out your favorite dance moves, and a dress that is uniquely you. Don’t second guess it – the feeling you get when you know, the butterflies you feel when you see yourself for the first time in “the dress”, that is all the reassurance you need!
